Geoff Allen

Geoff Allen has been a Public Servant, Senior Advisor to the Federal Treasurer and Leader of the Opposition. As Senior Research Fellow at the Melbourne Business School in the 1970s, he pioneered research and teaching in business-government relations and the social and political environment of business in Australia and has taught MBA and Executive program as Adjunct Professor for 30 years. He was co-founder and foundation CEO of the Business Council of Australia.

Founder of the Allen Consulting Group, a firm of around 60 consultants specialising in economics, social policy and a range of other public policy areas for major corporations and all Commonwealth, State and Territory governments. His consultancy includes strategic advice to senior echelons in Government and major corporations.

He is founder and Chairman of the Centre for Corporate Public Affairs.

Member of numerous State and Federal advisory groups. He chaired the Trade Negotiations Advisory Group (Uruguay Round). Currently Trade Advisory Council (Chairman), Australian Statistics Advisory Council (Chairman), WTO Advisory Group (Member). Management Board, European Centre for Public Affairs, Advisory Board, Institute for Corporate Responsibility, George Washington University, Asia Pacific Editor, Journal of Public Affairs.

Deputy Chairman, Melbourne Business School, Director, Southern Cross Broadcasting, and Council Member, Victorian College of the Arts.
