Post-Convention Seminar 4
Redefining Business Ethics in Three Dimensions – Personal, Organisational and Societal values consistency
This workshop focuses on the complex issue of business ethics going well beyond simple notions of morality, to position business ethics as a complex dimension of personal and corporate life that can lead to higher performance for both business and society. Our focus will be on the challenges and risks from lack of clarity and integrity around organisational value statements.
To date, the business world has largely depended on the law to set its ethical course. High-profile case histories such as the Australian Wheat Board, Nike and James Hardie however have highlighted the critical risks inherent in producing corporate value statements that are not embedded in organisational management systems.
In an era that is witnessing unprecedented waves of corporate collapses and reputation meltdowns, this workshop will help managers come to grips with modern day business ethical accountabilities arising from the interface between personal, organisational and societal value expectations.
Hear about the latest tools and processes to help build values consistency in the personal, organisational and societal domains.
Managers wishing to better understand their own personal values as well as gain clarity around the growing corporate social responsibility movement should attend
