Why Business Fail to Grow Their Knowledge Workers: how the power of emotional intelligence can bring ordinary people to do extraordinary things

Highly informed by the work of Peter Drucker this presentation promotes an Emotionally Intelligent Leader – one who shares ideas, learns from staff and makes decisions collaboratively.

Michelle will take participants through an interactive journey providing them with the opportunity to be immersed in the four key factors essential to becoming a more emotionally intelligent manager. She will assist in the development of personal strategies to enhance self awareness, encourage social awareness, master self management and build relationship development.

This presentation will provide the knowledge, strategies, live case examples and the practice required to build an emotionally intelligent management team, and maximize the capabilities of one’s knowledge workers.

Michelle believes that, with the foundations and inspiration Drucker has provided to business, new links and developments can be made integrating today’s research with his fundamental ideas

 
Presenter: Michelle Sarkis

Michelle Sarkis is a registered Psychologist with Masters level training in Clinical Psychology. As the National Manager for the trace Personnel Medical Division, she is actively involved in the recruitment of high level professionals such as General Practitioners, Occupational Physicians, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists across Metro and Rural Australia.

With staff members from various backgrounds within the credit, accounts and human resource industries, Michelle manages the training of trace Personnel staff, maintaining happy, healthy and well-balanced team members who can actively integrate their industry specific knowledge to the recruitment process.

Coordinating the Training Division of trace Personnel, Michelle also teaches clients of trace, strategies for building exceptional teams, tactics for managing and minimizing workplace conflict and approaches for enhancing work-life balance.

Michelle has extensive experience in the employment sector and specialises in the development and facilitation of motivational training programs, management programs for individuals injured in the workplace, and work related stress management programs.
