Would you turn down the Dalai Lama?

For many, a meeting with the Dalai Lama would be a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed. But for Frances Hesselbein, founding President of the Drucker Foundation, pioneer for women, diversity and inclusion and Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Leader to Leader Institute, the opportunity to meet his holiness came second to attending an international event honouring her mentor’s work - Peter F. Drucker.

The AIM Management Convention 2007 is a tribute to Drucker’s illustrious career through which he inspired managers and influenced business through his landmark books and articles. This renowned and well-regarded business author has influenced leaders from around the world and almost 40 have gathered to celebrate his work and share their expertise at the September Convention.

The Convention features an impressive array of overseas and local speakers, management gurus, sporting greats and business innovators. Prime Minister John Howard commended AIM for bringing together speakers at the forefront of their field and offering managers the opportunity to learn from the best and shape their careers. Prime Minister Howard also acknowledged that talented managers contribute greatly to Australia’s prosperity.
